There is a phrase

used by the class-obsessed
(and world-ravaging) English:
"as common as muck",
which suggests that
they don't accept that earth is good,
that muck provides them with their food.

[For around a hundred years
the British referred to edible food,
whether from North Africa, France,
Denmark, Russia or Italy,

as foreign muck.]
