Dear Sir!

I am reading Your posts through google (who also wants my number desperately) reader so I might not be in Your blog's statistics. But I am there every day.

You are a genius. Found You through Hungarian translations of Your glossaries. Thank You very much for poetic posts and poems of wisdom.

I am reading You from the Country of the Morning Calm. And it makes me calm, that an Irish kin of the the Turul (even though bloodline probably means little for You, what would make You an excellent Buddhist... :))keeps sane and radiates dissidence to us.

Shall You be blessed!

Dear Kind Monkeyfeeder,

Thank you for your generous comments. It is very interesting that you found me through a translation of my aphorisms into Hungarian. Isn't the internet amazing ?

Of course I am a kind of Buddhist - as you can see from my Zen pages (www.beyond-the-pale.co.uk/zen.htm) - a sort of Sufi-Pagan-AncientGreek Buddhist. I have been influenced by U.G. Krishnamurti as well as Chögyam Trungpa and many others.

You are Magyar, but your Google profile is in Spanish... (?)

Excellent. But why not Albanian ;-)

Dear Sir!

It is amazing indeed. In Hungarian translation Your aphorisms sounded great, but since English became (or always was) a witty and nasty language (and Your blog could be described by synonyms :) ) I had to find the original so that not even a nuance is lost.
I have read just part of it, and the daily dose makes me full... but I will have a further look into the Zen part.

Fortunately my google blogger profile is somehow messed up and connects to something what is not mine. I strictly avoid signing in into anything and only leave anonymous comments...
Now, because a few praising words I can be googled... Dios mío!

I do not speak Albanian yet, 한국어 is the current obstacle.
Thank You!

So now we are having Correspondence by Comment. A kind of one-to-one chat room!

;-)

So - you are a Hungarian (or a rare non-Magyar Hungarian speaker) who is currently in the country of morning calm, which, obviously, is Korea. You even write that "한국어 is the current obstacle".

But enough of mere biography. Google screws up a lot. Nothing appears on my 'master' page ("All Posts" - it is a blank.

I hope that Tomás, my Hungarian translator, did not have to miss too many nuances in my aforizmai.

That word is the same in Lithuanian. There is a site devoted to (other people's) aphorisms on
http://mintys.lt/mintys/aforizmai-apie-zmogu

e.g. from the famous Ernest (not the one celebrated by Oscar Wilde) :
E. Hemingvėjus
Žmogus yra tas, kuo jis save padaro.

Another of my internet friends is Lithuanian...

With best wishes from the necessary calm of my Occitanian morning,

ANTHONY

I checked my maxim pages on my website
(www.beyond-the-pale.co.uk/maxims.htm0
and found that the link to the Hungarian translations produced an Error 404 page. That is to say, the page no longer exists on the Mahonlap hosting-site.

So I'm wondering where you saw the Hungarian version ?

Let me know, so I can change the link on my pages. In the meantime I have uploaded a copy of the original (basic) Hungarian page.
